TouchMath: Great strategy for solving math problems of every operation. The secret to TouchMath is simple. In fact, it can be summed up in one word: TouchPoints. Each numeral from 1 through 9 has TouchPoints corresponding to the digit's value. Students count aloud as they touch the single TouchPoints once and double TouchPoints twice. This multisensory approach engages students on auditory, visual and tactile/kinesthetic levels.
TouchMoney: Similar to TouchMath, TouchMoney has TouchPoints on each coin except for the penny. Each TouchPoint is worth 5. So the nickel has 1 TouchPoint in the middle, dime has 2 TouchPoints, and the quarter has 5 TouchPoints. This helps tremendously when the student has to add mixed coins together, and they just have to then count by 5s.
